COMPANY OVERVIEW

The GNPC Exploration and Production Limited Company (“Explorco”), was officially incorporated under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) on 30th November 2012 as a GNPC's E&P subsidiary, to drive Ghana’s upstream petroleum ambitions by leveraging exploration and production (E&P) expertise.

The foundation of the company represents a strategic move by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to enhance its operatorship capacity, increase and strengthen Ghana’s participation in the oil and gas value chain.
Explorco’s establishment underscores a vision of sustainable resource development, technical excellence, and meaningful local content participation in Ghana’s petroleum industry. As a wholly owned subsidiary of GNPC, Explorco operates with growing technical capability and strong fiscal discipline.
