GNPC is Ghana’s national oil company mandated to explore, develop, and manage the country’s petroleum resources operating as a partner in all petroleum agreements. GNPC Explorco is the exploration and production subsidiary of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), responsible for conducting oil and gas exploration and production activities.
The primary mission is to enhance GNPC’s participation in oil and gas activities, increase Ghana’s hydrocarbon reserves, and maximize the economic benefits from the country’s petroleum resources, while effectively managing and mitigating commercial risks to ensure sustainable and profitable operations.
GNPC Explorco plays a key role by participating in exploration and production activities, forming joint ventures with international oil companies, and contributing to local capacity building.
Key projects include exploration activities in Ghana's offshore (shallow water, deepwater and ultra-deepwater) and onshore basins, and participation in Jubilee and TEN fields.
